Looking back at autumn.

The last of the autumn leaves are valiantly clinging on as the polar blast roars through Canberra today. With a dusting of snow on the Brindabellas, autumn feels like it’s yesterdays news. Here are some of my favourite pictures of the lovely leaves of 2022.

The fresh air is invigorating and it’s beckoning me out for a bracing walk, rosy cheeks and chattering teeth guaranteed. I love how the crispy chill also provides the perfect excuse to snuggle in with a good book and a cup of cocoa as the nights stretch longer and longer, the perfect balance of movement and peace.

For now, the wind continues to sing and the last leaves dance to earth as I farewell my favourite season and wonder what winter will bring.

  1. Winter arrived in South Africa with a windy whistle and temperatures plummeting. I too love the crispness of autumn and have enjoyed your selection of leaves as you bid farewell to it.
